SPARK: Your Creativity, Your Story, Your Way

SPARK: YOUR CREATIVITY, YOUR STORY, YOUR WAY

Participating in creative activities like singing, dancing, or drawing provides full-body benefits. Research supports what artists and creatives have long known: when you engage in creative processes, your brain releases feel-good chemicals like endorphins. This not only boosts your mood but also strengthens neural pathways and enhances neuroplasticity—the brain's ability to adapt and grow in response to new experiences.

But let’s face it, as time goes on and schedules become less of our own…creative activities become less of a priority. As much as we want to get back to it, where do we even start?

Yep, you guessed it. It’s time to rediscover your SPARK!

Each week, we'll explore something new—whether it's music, movement, or art—bringing creativity into everyday life in easy, accessible ways. We'll also take time to reflect on our experiences and build a sense of community with a small group of fellow SPARKmates.

You’ll walk away feeling invigorated, inspired, and brimming with ideas to fuel your creative SPARK.

VOICE: RISE AND ROAR

VOICE: RISE AND ROAR

Having taught voice for more than twenty years, I've learned one fundamental truth: everyone has the ability to sing. The way you feel while singing ripples through countless aspects of your life. Your body serves as a remarkable instrument, creating breath and resonance that foster healing through vibrations, deep breathing patterns, and whole-body emotional expression. This empowers you to stand with confidence, plant your feet firmly, and make your voice heard.

Research reveals singing's powerful impact on our well-being: it reduces anxiety, aids memory in dementia patients, strengthens lung function, and helps alleviate postpartum depression. It's a natural boost to our happiness and emotional health.

Yet so many of us hold back. Perhaps someone once told you to be quiet, or that you weren't good enough. But now is the time to reclaim your voice. Your journey back to singing starts here.
