Music, Voice & Wellbeing

Anne Palmer, DMA
Musician · Educator · Arts & Wellbeing Practitioner

I've spent much of my professional life as a singer and educator, helping people develop their singing voices, grow in confidence, and deepen their connection to music. Over the years, I've come to appreciate how much personal growth can happen when people feel supported, encouraged, and free to try something new.

At the Center for Arts & Wellbeing, I bring that understanding to my work. Through music and voice, I create a welcoming space where you can be yourself, try something new, and find an approach that feels right for you.

Working Together

Music After Hearing Loss

When hearing changes, our relationship with music can change, too.

Drawing on my experience as a professional musician and someone who lives with hearing loss, I offer individualized support for finding new ways to experience and participate in music through listening, music-making, experimentation, and conversation.

Whether you're hoping to continue performing, return to making music, or simply enjoy listening again, we'll begin with your experience and work together to find a path forward.

Voice for Wellbeing

A place to return to singing, or just begin.

Whether you're returning to singing after time away, looking to develop your voice, or simply wanting to make singing a more regular part of your life, Voice for Wellbeing offers a welcoming place to explore music and enjoy singing on your own terms.

Drawing on my years of experience as a singer and educator, I'll help you develop your voice through healthy vocal technique, explore music you enjoy, and discover the personal rewards of singing, without the pressure to perform.

The Listening Lab

Listening takes practice.

The Listening Lab is an evidence-informed, experiential workshop that uses music and creative engagement to bring new awareness to the art of listening.

Through guided musical experiences, participants discover new ways of listening, noticing, and responding. Together, we consider how learning to listen differently to music can help us become more attentive listeners to ourselves and others.

Designed for organizations and groups. No musical experience required.
